Strategy tips #3: How to make The Bitter End a bit less bitter
December 15, 2015Did you manage to read out that headline without biting your tongue? Yes? GOOD, we can begin with the real deal then.
After a request from EuroGamerGirl on Twitter (it’s been a while, sorry!), we decided to share some deck ideas and tips about The Bitter End, one of the most challenging levels in Trouble With Robots. It’s one of those “blue spots” in the map: levels where you should use all your skills as a deck-building-master to reach the end. Somehow it is our “Survival Mode”. And we’re aware that it’s a tough nut to crack!
Deck #1: Really Angry Creatures
In The Bitter End, you’ll have to deal with Battle Bots and Coordinators. Each wave is focused in one type, alternatively, so we have to think on resources to combine brute force + speed, in order to resist the tough Battle Bots and get to the Coordinators quickly (before their blasts harm us too much). Our first proposal is a deck based on powerful creatures, namely trolls and griffins, a bit infuriated.
- Angry Mob
- Fanatics
- Warden
- Heal
- Cave Troll
- Griffin
- Slow Motion
- Beast March
- Squall Charger
Deck #2: Bearded Fury
If you prefer to focus on the force (and nope, we’re not talking about Star Wars, although it’s that time of the year), we have a second proposal: a deck based on dwarves, with direct damage cards which allow us to stun the robots (but not us). Something like that:
- Cave Troll
- Boulder Crash
- Beast March
- Forge Workers
- Defiant Guard
- Warden
- Mining Guild
- Heal
- Slow Motion
Which one do you guys like the most? Any other ideas? We would love to hear them!
